Comelec ready to assist Ombudsman in Marcoleta case even after terminating own probe
MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec)expressed readiness to assist and coordinate with the Office of the Ombudsman in its case against Sen. Rodante Marcoleta, even as its owninvestigation into the lawmaker has been dismissed, Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia said on Saturday.
