BREAKING: House expels Barzaga for conduct unbecoming
Congressman Kiko Barzaga has been expelled from the House of Representatives. The vote was 265 in favor of expulsion and 14 against, with eight abstentions. The plenary adopted the report of the House Committee on Ethics and Privileges, which recommended Barzaga’s expulsion for conduct unbecoming of a House member and disorderly behavior. Barzaga had previously been suspended twice. The committee argued that another penalty of suspension would not likely deter the improper behavior.
