NBI files ethics charge complaint vs lawmaker for 'Senate assassination' claim
MANILA, Philippines — The National Bureau of Investigation has filed an ethics complaint against controversial Cavite 4th District Rep. Francisco Barzaga at the House of Representatives on Tuesday. NBI Director Melvin Matibag personally filed the complaint at the office of House Secretary-General Cheloy Garafil. Matibag said that the complaint stemmed from several social media posts of Barzaga where he claimed there was an attempt at the NBI to assassinate senators during the standoff held
