Xinhua Silk Road: Fu'an tea industry in SE China's Fujian generates 13.8 bln yuan in output value

BEIJING, June 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The tea industry in Fu'an City, southeast China's Fujian Province, generated a comprehensive output value of 13.8 billion yuan (about 1.92 billion U.S. dollars) across its entire industrial chain in 2025, according to local authorities. The city has a tea plantation area of 300,000 mu (about 20,000 hectares), with 60 percent of local farmers engaged in tea production and processing.
