MONTRÉAL, June 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Air Canada today issued the following comment on a monetary penalty Transport Canada has imposed on a former Air Canada pilot related to his type of certification. See Aviation non-corporate offenders. Safety was not compromised by this incident because all pilots at Air Canada undergo mandatory recurrent training every six months to validate their flying competency, including a flight check with a certified Transport Canada check-pilot every 12 months
