Yellow alert issued for Visayas grid on June 8
MANILA, Philippines — The National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) again issued a yellow alert for the Visayas grid on Monday, June 8, as electricity supply in the island group remains inadequate. In its 8 a.m. advisory, the firm said the yellow alert would be in place between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. as peak demand was estimated to hit 2,510 megawatts (MW) and available generation supply was at 2,659 MW.
