Jordan Clarkson makes history as first Filipino-American NBA Champ
MANILA, Philippines — Jordan Clarkson just made history as the first Filipino-American NBA champion. Clarkson and the New York Knicks ended the team's 53-year title drought after dispatching the San Antonio Spurs, 94-90, to wrap up the Finals series, 4-1, in Game 5 in San Antonio Sunday morning in Manila. Winning the 2021 Sixth Man of the Year while playing for the Utah Jazz, Clarkson, 34, played six minutes in the clincher and logged two points and one rebound.
