Montgomery wins first WTA title as Krejcikova retires
ROSMALEN, Netherlands — US qualifier Robin Montgomery won her first WTA title when Czech rival Barbora Krejcikova retired before Sunday's final of the Wimbledon warm-up event through illness. As a result of her maiden title, the 484th-ranked Montgomery will move up to 240th in the WTA rankings on Monday ahead of the second Grand Slam of the season on grass at Wimbledon.
