Kanlaon Volcano emits ash anew
MANILA, Philippines — The state seismology bureau has recorded another ash emission from Kanlaon Volcano in Negros Island which is currently under Alert Level 2 due to signs of increased unrest. Teresito Bacolcol, Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) director, said the event that took place around 8:58 a.m., Tuesday, generated grayish plumes that rose 500 meters above the crater before drifting southwest.
